Job DescriptionPurchasing Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Purchasing Analyst to support our client’s procurement operations by analyzing purchasing data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing supplier performance. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient and cost-effective purchasing strategies that align with organizational goals. This is a Contract to Hire role located near Itasca, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for savings.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contracts and service-level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs and forecast demand.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies and policies.
- Prepare reports and dashboards to support decision-making and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data in procurement systems.
- Support sourcing initiatives and supplier selection processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or data analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Pay is $30-$40 an hour, depending on experience
