What You'll Do:
- Handle Inquiries: Manage all incoming telephone inquiries and reservations.
- Promote Services: Promote hotel services to ensure maximum room revenues.
- Act as PBX Operator: Serve as the main PBX operator for the Hotel/Casino.
- Transfer Calls: Transfer calls to the appropriate departments.
- Provide Customer Service: Inform guests of all amenities and outlets available.
- Follow Check List: Follow the tasks listed in the Reservation Check List with instruction and training for each shift.
- Assist with Admin Duties: Assist in administrative duties related to booking, tracking, charging, handling, and entering room reservations.
- Enter Data: Enter appropriate data into the PMS and use all significant market segments.
- Know the Property: Be thoroughly familiar with hotel amenities, room rate promotions, restaurants, surrounding venues, and hotel policy to assist guests with requests for information.
- Follow Protocols: Follow reservation protocols and practices.
- Multi-task: Multi-task with all duties and assignments.
- Daily Check List: Be responsible for the Reservations Daily Check List with accountability.
- Communicate Adequately: Practice adequate communication with transactions.
- Complete Reports: Complete all shift reports at the end of the shift and provide accurate pass-on.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality of all information processed through the department, including records, reports, documents, and conversations.
What We're Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED: Required.
- Experience: One year of Hotel Front Desk/Reservations experience preferred.
- Preferred Skills: Hospitality Certification, Excellent Phone Etiquette experience, Online Travel Agent experience, and Bilingual Shoshone Bannock/Spanish preferred but not required.
Education and Experience Levels:
- Entry Level (G1): High school diploma or GED required; college courses preferred. One year of Hotel Front Desk/Reservations experience preferred.
- Experienced Level (G2): High school diploma or GED required; college courses preferred. Two years of Hotel Front Desk/Reservations experience preferred. Hospitality Certification, Excellent Phone Etiquette experience, Online Travel Agent experience, and Bilingual Shoshone Bannock/Spanish preferred but not required.
Certificates, License, and Registrations:
- Supporting Documents: Must submit supporting documents of education and training (High School Diploma, GED, Degree, and Certificates).
- Driver’s License: Must obtain and maintain a valid Driver’s License and qualify for Fleet Management coverage on company vehicles.
Physical Demands:
- Standing: Ability to stand for long periods (6-10 hours) and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- Public Environment: Public work environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, tobacco smoke, and airborne particles.
- Noise Level: Moderate noise level.
