Valpak Clipp is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Coordinator to join our expanding team!

This is a hybrid role - reporting to the St Petersburg office 3-4 days per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage standard bi-weekly, as well as off-cycle payrolls for all employees in all companies in accordance with company policies and federal/state regulations.
  • Ensure accurate calculations of wages and resolve discrepancies.
  • Timekeeping for all companies: review timecards for accuracy, time/coding errors, and potential employee issues. Train employees/managers on timecard process and policies, as necessary.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, employee information, compensation, and tax data in all systems. Review all changes for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process all payroll/personnel changes for each payroll, including new hires, terminations, leave of absence, tax changes, benefit deductions, etc.
  • Assist in tax registration and record keeping for all companies.
  • Process wage garnishments, including setting up the deduction in the payroll system and responding to orders.
  • Prepare and file payroll tax reports, W-2s, and other required filings in compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws when necessary.
  • Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure seamless integration of employee data and financials.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and resolve payroll issues.
  • Paycheck distribution for employees without direct deposit.
  • Assist with the posting of monthly journal entries for accounting month-end close.
  • Assist with special projects and other work-related duties as needed or required.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of payroll information and uphold data protection standards.
  • Stay current on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • Minimum 4-5 years in a related role within Payroll, HR, and/or Finance.
  • Paylocity and SAP experience is a plus.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of standard payroll practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Confidentiality in working with sensitive information.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Good follow-up techniques
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
