Job Summary
The Clinical Supervisor (LMHP-E, LCSW-E, LPC-E or LMHP) performs initial assessments,
makes diagnoses, and provides clinical supervision to the caseworkers of New Life, LLC. This
includes clinical supervision of all services to individuals and families. This position operates as
a backup position to the Clinical Director addressing on-call or after-hours crisis issues as
needed. All clinical work is guided by a comprehensive treatment plan, program policies,
guidelines and instructions supervised directly by the clinical supervisor
The Clinical Supervisor is required to maintain high quality clinical documentation, completed in
a timely manner and consistent with policies outlined in company handbook and licensure
requirements.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Performs initial assessment, makes diagnoses and write Individual Service Plans.
• Completes documentation required for insurance approval of services. -

- Provide Group Therapy to clients in PHP Program on a daily basis
• Assist the MHS/ CRISIS STABILIZATION /TDT/PHP caseworkers in maintaining safe and therapeutic
practices.
• Provide clinical supervision to caseworkers and document all supervision activities which
will be included in the clinical files.
• Continuous communication with staff in planning and providing individual services and
regular contact with program director to provide feedback on home-base clinical issues.
• Assists caseworkers in planning and implementing Individual Service Plans.
• In conjunction with caseworkers, monitors and reviews individual member’s progress.
• Reviews clinical files to ensure compliance with all regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Education
• MUST possess master’s degree in social work or a counseling/mental health related field.

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the mental health field (preferably with adults
and adolescents).
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience in the mental health field (2
years preferred).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Communication The Clinical Supervisor will communicate effectively, in writing and
orally, to program director and caseworker to maintain appropriate clinical records and
for supervision purposes.
• Interpersonal Communication This position is in continuous contact with individuals,
other staff, and members in planning and providing individual services. Ability to
appropriately relate to a variety of individual and family personality types requiring use
of judgment and discretion.
• Knowledge of TOVA Knowledge of Therapeutic Options of Virginia.
• Demonstrated skill in treating individuals and families and excellent knowledge of
therapeutic interventions for individuals and families.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with individuals
and staff.
• Demonstrated ability to teach the skill of clinical assessments and interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate clinical skills of caseworkers.
Required Licensure
• MUST meet VDBHDS/DMAS criteria and be an approved resident by the state of
Virginia in one of the following areas: LCSW, LPC, or LMHP and under the clinical
supervision of a LCSW, LPC or LMHP or be a licensed mental health professional.
• Valid state driver's license and driving record in good standing with the DMV.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training certification or must be obtained
within 14 business days of employment.
• Current standard First Aid & AED training certification or must be obtained within 14
business days of employment.
• Current non-violent crisis intervention (TOVA) certification - minimum 8 hours or must
be obtained within 14 business days of employment.

Working Conditions
Work in this field frequently involves traveling and visitation to individual homes of varying
sanitary and health (emotional and physical) conditions. Clinical Supervisor may be exposed to
hostile and/or aggressive individual behavior, presenting a personal risk of bodily harm.

Candidate must meet eligibility for employment through successful criminal and central
registry checks.
