At World of Wonders Child Care & Learning Center (WOW), we believe childcare works best when teachers are supported, respected, and never left to do it all alone. We’re currently hiring a Pre-K and school-aged assistant teacher to assist in our growing early preschool classroom.

This position will work with our pre-k class during school hours and our school-aged room before and after school and on school breaks, including our amazing summer camp program.


We are additionally hiring for early preschool and preschool assistant positions due to growth.


What This Role Looks Like

As an Assistant teacher, you will:

  • Work with a long-time teacher
  • Be responsible for your entire class but focus on your primary care grouping
  • Work as a team to build a strong classroom built on emotional support and fun
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment
  • Build relationships with children

Schedule & Hiring Details

  • Full-time position
  • Must be available to work between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM
  • Interviews held Monday–Friday between 9:30 AM and 4:00 PM.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Prior experience working with children preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, sit, stand, and work on the floor
  • Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented
  • Must pass all required state background checks
  • Must obtain a work physical prior to starting
  • Must attend an in-person interview
