Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our team at Tower Extrusions, a leading manufacturer of high-quality aluminum extrusion products. This is an outside sales role responsible for driving revenue growth, managing key customer relationships, and developing new business opportunities across a five-state territory. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the aluminum extrusion industry, with a proven ability to sell engineered products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Territory Management:
  • Manage and grow business across the assigned region (Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky) through regular travel and in-person customer engagement.
  • New Business Development:
  • Identify, prospect, and develop new customers in target markets, with an emphasis on mid to large accounts.
  • Account Management:
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers by providing excellent service, identifying new opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Relay all pertinent information on each account back to proper departments within Tower.
  • Follow up on customer complaints, issues, etc, to ensure that a solution is found. Then communicate that back to the customer.
  • Sales Planning & Strategy:
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve territory growth targets and company objectives.
  • Market Intelligence:
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities. Provide feedback on market opportunities and product requirements.
  • Technical Sales:
  • Understand and effectively communicate the value proposition of aluminum extrusion products, including technical specifications, capabilities, and applications.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with internal teams (inside sales, engineering, production, and leadership) to ensure seamless customer service and project execution.
  • Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate sales records, forecasts, and call reports.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of successful outside sales experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing, metals, building products, or related industries. Prior experience selling aluminum extrusions or engineered products strongly preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with target markets: Understanding of extrusion processes, applications, and value-added services is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Strong selling and relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently
  • Strategic thinker with a strong customer focus

Travel:

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region
  • Most travel can be done same day with limited overnight traveling required

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field) or equivalent experience.
