Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity seeks an experienced High School Special Education Teacher skilled in delivering comprehensive support within a full inclusion environment. The role involves both push-in and pull-out services, tailoring instruction to meet the diverse needs of students with special needs in an engaging and supportive high school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state standards and students' unique learning goals.
- Provide tailored instruction and support through push-in services within general education classrooms.
- Conduct pull-out sessions to offer focused, small-group or one-on-one interventions.
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff to ensure a cohesive educational experience.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to promote academic achievement and social development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate regularly with families and educational teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching high school students with diverse learning needs.
- Strong understanding of full inclusion models and specialized instructional strategies.
- Skilled in both push-in and pull-out service delivery methods.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt lesson plans and instructional approaches to individual student needs.
