Accounting Specialist
A prestigious law firm in Century City is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join their finance team. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounts payable and receivable, particularly within legal environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately record incoming payments (checks, credit cards, ACH/wires, Stripe)

Process daily bank deposits and apply payments to appropriate accounts

Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices, reimbursements, and client cost transactions

Perform general ledger coding and maintain financial records
-
Manage weekly check runs and ACH/wire transfers
-
Maintain vendor profiles and W-9 documentation
-
Set up and update client/vendor accounts, including conflict checks
-
Reconcile credit card and bank statements; resolve discrepancies
-
Respond to inquiries from vendors and clients regarding payments and invoices
-
Support 1099 year-end reporting and tax documentation
-
Organize and digitize financial records (scanning, data entry)

Provide cross-functional support to finance, billing, and administrative teams
Qualifications:
-
3+ years of recent experience in AP/AR roles
-
Prior experience in a law firm is highly preferred

Familiarity with conflict checks and billing/accounting platforms (Coyote Analytics is a plus)

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and data management systems

Strong organizational and analytical skills
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

High level of discretion and sound judgment

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
