Your Responsibilities:
- Guide patients through frame and lens selection based on lifestyle, prescription needs, and personal style
- Educate patients on lens designs, coatings, and technology in a clear, thoughtful way
- Take precise optical measurements
- Adjust and fit eyewear for optimal comfort and visual performance
- Troubleshoot non-adapts and remake situations with care and attention
- Perform frame repairs, adjustments, and ongoing eyewear maintenance
- Verify prescriptions and inspect finished eyewear for accuracy and quality
- Maintain accurate medical/optical records using our electronic health record system (RevolutionEHR)
- Verify medical/vision insurance and manage claim filing for services rendered and materials dispensed
- Occasionally answer phones and greet patients at check-in
- Process contact lens orders as well as train and educate contact lens wearers on the application and removal of contact lenses.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting optical space
- Build genuine relationships with patients
Who We Are Looking For:
- Experienced optician
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to doing things right the first time (although we are very forgiving ;) )
- Willing to be a team player
- Patient, personable, and an excellent communicator
- Someone who values quality, accuracy, and patient care over speed
