Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Telemetry Technician to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation in an acute care environment. The role focuses on accurate ECG analysis, early detection of arrhythmias, and immediate communication of critical cardiac events to clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform continuous ECG and telemetry monitoring
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and identify dysrhythmias
- Detect and promptly report life-threatening rhythm changes
- Initiate emergency response procedures when required
- Perform EKGs with correct lead placement
- Troubleshoot monitoring equipment issues
- Communicate critical findings to healthcare staff
- Document cardiac activity and clinical events accurately
- Enter and manage orders in electronic medical records
- Maintain continuous patient monitoring and alarm response
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior experience as a Telemetry / Monitor Technician
- Valid Telemetry Technician Certification
- BLS Certification (AHA or American Red Cross, valid within 1 year)
- Completion of Dysrhythmia Course
- Strong ECG interpretation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and EMR systems
- Strong communication skills in English
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care or hospital telemetry units
- Pediatric telemetry monitoring experience
- Strong attention to detail in high-acuity environments
