Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position is for a paraeducator supporting elementary students in a Minneapolis-area school on a contract basis for the current school year. The role requires dedication to student development and collaboration within the educational team.
Location:
- Elementary school in Minneapolis, MN area
- Specific site: 11931 Crooked Lake Blvd NW, Coon Rapids, MN 55433
Duration and Hours:
- Contract start date: January 27, 2026
- Contract end date: June 11, 2026
- Monday through Friday, 9:10 a.m. to 4:10 p.m.
Qualifications:
- Candidates must be highly qualified by meeting one of the following criteria before being presented to the district: Passing the Minnesota Board Highly Qualified Para Educator Exam, OR Holding at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required; diplomas are not accepted)
- Experience working with elementary school students is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instruction and managing classroom activities
- Support students academic, social, and behavioral needs
- Help prepare instructional materials
- Foster an inclusive and safe classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
Additional Information:
- Candidates must be willing to become a direct hire of the district after 120 days of contracting
