This position is for a part-time Registered Nurse working night shifts in a Medical/Surgical unit, primarily focused on adult patients with occasional pediatric care. The nurse will deliver patient-centered services, work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold high standards of clinical skill and empathy. The nursing process will be utilized to ensure effective patient care. You will be professionally accountable for the care provided to your assigned patients and will assess the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other caregivers. About Our Unit
Welcome to our dynamic and fast-paced 30-bed Medical/Surgical Unit, where we care for both adult and occasional pediatric patients. While our primary focus is on adults aged 18 and older, we also attend to approximately 1–2 pediatric patients each month.
Our diverse patient demographic includes a wide array of medical and post-operative cases, such as:

Orthopedic surgeries: knees, hips, shoulders

General surgical procedures: appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resections

Specialized treatments: bariatric surgery, sepsis, pancreatitis, and stable pneumothorax
We maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6, supported by skilled Patient Care Associates to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care.

Qualifications
Education & Licensure:
-
Graduate from an accredited RN program
-
Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
-
Must fulfill all state board of nursing requirements
Required Certifications:
-
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
-
BLS – Basic Life Support (or within 30 days of hire)

Any unit-specific certifications (with completion timeline)
Physical Requirements:
-
Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
-
Prolonged standing/walking throughout the shift
-
Ability to bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary
