GENERAL SUMMARY
Seeking an experienced NDE Inspector to support inspection and reliability programs for major energy and refining facilities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in pressure equipment inspection and is familiar with refinery or petrochemical environments, particularly those aligned with major refinery or petrochemical projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) on pressure vessels, piping, and rotating equipment in accordance with applicable codes and client standards
- Conduct API 510, 653, and 570 inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory and mechanical integrity requirements
- Review inspection reports, analyze data, and document findings in the client’s asset management systems
- Support turnaround, reliability, and maintenance teams by providing detailed technical evaluations and recommendations
- Interface with engineering, QA/QC, and operations to coordinate inspection scopes and repair plans
- Maintain accurate inspection documentation and ensure traceability of test results and equipment certifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Required Certifications: API 510, API 653, API 570
- NDE Level II or higher in at least two methods (MT, PT, UT, RT preferred)
- Demonstrated experience supporting major refinery or petrochemical clients
- Strong understanding of ASME and API codes related to pressure equipment integrity
- Proficiency with digital reporting systems and field data collection tools
- Excellent communication and organizational skills

COMPENSATION
This position offers an hourly rate ranging from $40 to $65 per hour, commensurate with experience, certifications, and project scope.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Internal – Duties are periodically performed in an office or administrative setting (approximately 10%) with standard climate control and minimal exposure to environmental hazards.
External – The majority of work (approximately 90%) is conducted within an active refinery or industrial setting, where employees may be exposed to elevated noise levels, heat, fumes, and outdoor weather conditions. Work in these areas requires adherence to all applicable safety, personal protective equipment (PPE), and site access requirements in accordance with company and client policies.
