Provide specialized care to newborns in a Level 2 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting within a reputable hospital environment in the Aurora, CO region. This contract opportunity offers a rewarding experience working alongside a skilled team dedicated to exceptional neonatal care.

Location Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care for NICU patients including feeder growers and vented babies, maintaining patient ratios of 3:1 and 1:1 respectively.
  • Perform admissions and initial stabilization in the delivery room.
  • Assist Neonatal Nurse Practitioners with procedures such as umbilical line placements, intubation, lumbar punctures, and circumcisions.
  • Utilize advanced equipment including Giraffe Omnibeds and STAR GE resuscitation devices.
  • Document patient care accurately using EMR systems like CPN and Meditech.
  • Collaborate closely with neonatologists and a multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Level 2 NICU experience is required.
  • Proven skills in admissions and initial neonatal stabilization.
  • Preferred experience includes Level 3 or 4 NICU background and familiarity with Eat Sleep Console protocols for Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome.
  • Strong teamwork orientation with excellent communication skills.
  • Adherence to facility policies regarding dress code and professionalism.

Schedule:

  • Night shift, 7 PM to 7 AM.
