OPERATIONS FINANCE ANALYST – Aerospace/Defense Manufacturing
Our customer is a progressive and growing manufacturer in the Aerospace/Defense sector seeking a highly motivated Operations Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team. We operate in one of the most vital and fast-paced segments of today's economy.
The Operations Finance Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial data, supporting effective financial planning, analysis, and operational decision-making.

Our ideal candidate is analytical, highly detail-oriented, and capable of processing and interpreting large volumes of data to identify trends and support strategic insights.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree: Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business (MBA or CPA/CMA is a plus)
· 5+ years’ experience in Accounting and Corporate Finance
· Experience in a fast-paced, data-driven, or manufacturing environment (standard costing, mfg variances, bill of material review, gross margin analysis)
· Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
· In-depth understanding of GAAP
· Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close
· FAR, DFAR Regulations is a plus but not a requirement
· Knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing and logistics
· Ability to link financial outcomes with operations drivers (KPI’s, process efficiencies, etc.)
· Strategic thinking and commercial awareness
· Support for decision-making and performance improvement
· Financial Planning Software / Tools
· ERP Knowledge (Epicor/Kinetic experience a plus)
· Strong analytical skills
· Self-starter
· Deadline-Oriented and thoroughness
· Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, Power Query, etc)
· Experience with ISO / AS9100 quality management systems
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Financial reporting and controls:
o Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, monthly reconciliations, end of year reporting, budgets, and forecasts.
o Close books timely, efficiently, and accurately
o Reconciliations, ERP closing, Journal Entries, Audit Support
o Inventory Control analytics and reporting
o Year-end physical inventory support
· Monitor and track production variances
o Material Usage variances
o Labor variances
o Purchase Price variances
· Collaborate with production, supply chain, engineering, and finance teams to identify and implement process improvements.
o Identify opportunities for improvements and calculate gross and net productivity
o Track and estimate site level cost savings projects
o Work with other sites to learn how to leverage capacity and capabilities within the USA production network
· Support preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
· Work cross functionally to submit weekly forecasts for the USA sites:
o Revenue & EBITDA
o Orderbook
· Assist in ad-hoc financial projects and analysis as needed.
o Cost reviews for new product bids
o New item Part Costing
o Become a local ERP Subject matter expert (support and resolve issues)
· Collaborate with departments to optimize financial operations and information systems.
· Other duties as assigned.
