Job Description

School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT)

Serving a Forward-Focused School District in Southeastern North Carolina | 2025–2026 School Year

Are you passionate about supporting students’ growth and independence through functional, student-centered care? We’re seeking Occupational Therapists (OTs) to serve a school district in Southeastern North Carolina that is actively refocusing its mission and investing in leadership, equity, and whole-child success.

This district is committed to creating inclusive learning environments, expanding authentic learning experiences, and preparing students for life beyond the classroom. As an OT, you’ll be a vital part of that vision—empowering students to participate fully in their educational journey.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide occupational therapy services to K–12 students

• Conduct evaluations, re-evaluations, and screenings

• Develop and implement IEP-based interventions focused on functional access to learning

• Collaborate with educators, families, and school-based teams

• Support students’ independence in school routines, motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care

Why Partner with Us:

• Competitive independent contractor rates

• Reimbursement for documentation, evaluations, and IEP meeting participation

• Flexible scheduling

• Access to clinical support and professional development resources

• Be part of a district prioritizing meaningful change and student-focused service delivery

You’re a great fit if you:

• Hold a valid North Carolina OT license (or are eligible to obtain one)

• Have experience working with children or in school-based settings

• Are committed to functional, inclusive, and culturally responsive practices

• Enjoy working in collaborative, purpose-driven environments

Bring your expertise to a district where transformation is more than a goal—it’s the plan.

Apply today and help shape a more inclusive and empowered future for students in Southeastern North Carolina
