Job Description
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a critical role within a collaborative team, ensuring the highest quality standards for medical devices. You will perform dimensional inspections and determine the most suitable tools and setups for accurate measurement. Your expertise will be instrumental in reviewing and releasing finished goods, as well as managing substantial paperwork related to inspections.
Responsibilities
- Perform dimensional inspections without specific tool documentation, selecting appropriate tools or setups for measurements.
- Measure inside diameters using tools such as pin gauges, calipers, optical comparators, vision measuring systems (Keyence, MicroVu), or CMMs.
- Review and release finished goods and inspect labels.
- Determine the acceptability of raw materials, components, subassemblies, and finished products based on company standards, guidelines, and specifications.
- Conduct in-process and final product verification inspections.
- Read and understand blueprints, shop orders, and process controls.
- Inspect products and materials according to drawings, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
- Utilize technical measuring devices to ensure product conformance with specifications.
Essential Skills
- 2 to 3 years of inspection experience within the medical device industry.
- 2 to 3 years of mechanical inspection experience.
- Experience with quality inspection, blueprint reading, and mechanical inspection.
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and Keyence systems.
- Experience working with ISO13485 and ISO9001 standards.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and drawings.
- Detail-oriented with flexibility to take on additional tasks.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with reviewing lot folders.

This role is based in a cleanroom/manufacturing environment, working with a small team of about three individuals, alongside the manager and the VP of Quality.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
