Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students with diverse learning needs. This full-semester contract position is located in Lakeville, MN, providing the chance to make a meaningful impact on students academic and behavioral progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Minnesota Teaching Credential with one of the following special education endorsements:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders
- Developmental Disabilities
- Early Childhood Special Education
- Emotional Behavioral Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- Academic & Behavioral Strategist License (optional; enables service to students with mild to moderate needs across multiple disability areas)
- Experience working with high school-aged students in special education settings is preferred
Position Details:
- Work schedule: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Caseload includes high school students with diverse educational needs
- Contract duration: Full semester
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) based on students unique requirements
- Collaborating with general education staff, families, and support professionals to foster positive learning environments
- Utilizing strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social challenges
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional approaches accordingly
