Job Description: Registered Nurse - Infusion
Location: Tyler, TX

Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 16:30), Monday through Friday
Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities & Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in chemotherapy infusion.
- Previous travel experience is required.
- Experience with a patient ratio of 1:8.
Required Skills:
- Chemotherapy: Administration of chemotherapy, handling body fluids post-chemo, and managing/disposing of cytotoxic spills.
- Infusion: Accessing ports, blood/blood product administration, central line care/management, and starting IVs.
- Oncologic Emergencies: Ability to recognize and manage side effects and oncologic emergencies like anaphylaxis and extravasation injury.
- Patient Care: Symptom management (e.g., nausea, vomiting, neuropathy), patient/family education, and providing psychosocial support.
- Documentation: Epic charting system is required.
Certifications:
- Required: BLS, Chemotherapy certification through the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).
- Preferred: OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse).
Additional Details
- Schedule: This is a Monday through Friday position with no weekend or on-call requirements.
- Float Requirements: Floating may be required.
- Local Rule: This is a travel position. The facility will not contract staff residing in the following Texas counties: Henderson, Anderson, Cherokee, Rusk, Panola, Smith, Gregg, Van Zandt, Wood, Upshur, Camp, Hopkins, Franklin, Titus, and Morris.
Job Summary\nWe are seeking a highly skilled and certified Registered Nurse (RN) with Infusion and Chemotherapy experience for a 13-week travel assignment. This role is based in an Outpatient Chemo Infusion Center that handles all types of cancer diagnoses as well as hematology cases.
