Located in Brea, CA, this established manufacturing company has been producing precision-engineered engines for industrial, agricultural, and military applications since 1937. With a close-knit team of around 35 employees and a growing fleet of 13 CNC machines (with plans to expand), the company is known for its in-house design and manufacturing capabilities and its commitment to quality craftsmanship.
About the Role
As a CNC Programmer, you'll play a key role in developing and improving part programs using Esprit Edge. This position focuses on lathe programming with live tooling in a high-mix, low-volume environment, typically producing 1 to 5 parts per job. Your experience will directly support the shop’s continued growth and reputation for excellence.
Schedule
- Standard hours: **6:00 AM – 2:30 PM**and most come in at 4 AM for overtime

Responsibilities:
-
Program lathe and mill machines using Esprit Edge
-
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
-
Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters
-
Optimize programs for efficiency, accuracy, and minimal tool wear
Qualifications:
-
10+ years programming (Esprit Edge preferred)

Strong experience programming lathes with live tooling and 3 axis mills (5 axis mills is a plus)

Extensive background of tool technology and selection

Ability and knowledge of G-code (Fanuc Macro B is a plus)
