Position: HVAC Commercial Sales Executive
Location: Walker, MI
About Us Vander Hyde Mechanical is a trusted, family-owned HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractor serving West Michigan. We specialize in delivering reliable service and building long-term customer partnerships. As we expand our commercial services, we are looking for a results-driven HVAC Commercial Sales Executive to focus on growing our customer base and strengthening client relationships.
The Opportunity This is an exciting role for someone passionate about sales, customer care, and the fast-paced world of commercial HVAC service. You will be responsible for prospecting new business, creating proposals, and coordinating projects with our service team. Your efforts will directly impact the growth of our preventive maintenance agreements and installation services.
What You'll Do
- Prospect daily for new commercial and restaurant service customers through cold calls and outreach.
- Build strong customer relationships and serve as the main point of contact for proposals and follow-up.
- Create and present proposals using company tools (Bid 2024, Excel, ServiceTitan).
- Collaborate with managers, dispatch, and technicians to schedule job timelines.
- Order materials, manage purchase orders, and ensure accuracy through coordination with office staff.
- Review technician "Quote Needed" forms and quickly return pricing to customers.
- Track outstanding proposals, ensure preventive maintenance agreements are followed, and support billing follow-ups.
Schedule & Compensation
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 40–45 hours per week. A combination of in-office work and customer visits with a flexible schedule to meet customer demand.
- Status: Full-time, salaried position.
- Salary Range: $80,000 – $98,000 annually (based on experience), with potential performance incentives.
What We're Looking For
- Knowledge of HVAC systems (5 years' HVAC experience preferred; plumbing/electrical knowledge a plus).
- Experience in sales, account management, or customer service - ideally within a service or trade industry.
- Experience in quoting jobs preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long-term customer relationships.
- Proficiency with ServiceTitan, Excel, and Word.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and motivated by results.
- Comfortable balancing sales goals with customer service responsibilities.
