Our client's SNF in beautiful Lakeland, FL is hiring! We're looking for a Speech Language Pathologist or CFY to join our close-knit, resident-focused rehab team. This is a rare opportunity to step into a stable, full-time role paid to the right candidate.

Responsibilities of Speech Language Pathologist or CFY:
-
Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
-
Work with patients of all ages in various settings, including hospitals and pediatric clinics.

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.

Provide therapy sessions to improve communication skills, including speech articulation, language comprehension and expression, voice quality, fluency, and pragmatics.

Administer standardized tests and assessments to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care for patients.

Educate patients and families on strategies for improving communication and swallowing abilities.

Document patient progress accurately and maintain detailed records.
Requirements forSpeech Language Pathologist or CFY:
-
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.

Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a FL Speech Language Pathologist.

Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology, case management, and patient care practices.

Familiarity with geriatric speech therapy techniques and interventions.

Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Proficient in patient assessments and treatment plan development.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and families.

Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
