About the Job  
We are seeking a dynamic, full-time HR Generalist who excels in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment. Flexibility, precision, and follow-through are essential qualities for this role. You will be responsible for managing onboarding activities, supporting employee performance and offboarding processes, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states. This position requires a strong foundation in HR practices and principles, with particular expertise in navigating diverse state requirements. The ability to quickly adapt and support a wide range of HR functions is crucial. In addition, you will serve as a backup to other HR team members, making adaptability and a collaborative mindset vital for success. If you are passionate about HR and thrive in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you!

Responsibilities 

This role includes, but is not limited to, the following:  

  • Administers the full onboarding program in alignment with Integral’s standards and expectations, and supports offboarding efforts as needed.
  • Assists with compliance efforts across multiple states to ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws as well as company policies. This includes tracking state-specific requirements, conducting regular reviews, identifying upcoming regulatory changes, and coordinating with relevant team members to implement timely and effective updates. 
  • Assists with employee performance management by coordinating with supervisors to address concerns, helping ensure alignment with Integral policies, administering formal Performance Improvement Plans, and maintaining thorough documentation. Actively collaborates with the HR Director, escalating complex or sensitive matters as needed. 
  • Assists with involuntary separations, ensuring compliance with policies and respectful handling of separations.  
  • Supports the HR team in responding to employee questions related to standard policies and procedures, while referring complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate primary contact. 
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and documentation, ensuring integrity and confidentiality, and performs periodic audits.  
  • Manages and updates personnel data in Vantagepoint and Paylocity, including status changes, relocations, and other updates. Leads employee status changes and relocation processes, securing necessary approvals, notifying relevant departments, and ensuring completion of required paperwork.  
  • Assists with the annual performance review cycle, including tracking, system support, and ensuring timely completion of all steps.  
  • Posts, updates, and assists with maintenance of HR information on the company intranet. 
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory harassment prevention training.  
  • Supports policy development and implementation and helps maintain the employee handbook and state-specific supplements. 
  • Serves as backup support for various HR activities, including reporting, timesheets, recruiting, and other responsibilities as needed. 
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.  
  • Coordinates HR-sponsored employee events as needed.  
  • Prepares a variety of HR reports and administrative support to HR department and senior leadership.  
  • Assists with preparing and submitting audit reports to federal and state agencies throughout the year to ensure compliance and regulatory requirements are met 

Qualifications 

  • An undergraduate or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred 
  • 4+ years of applicable experience in a similar HR role, including experience at a professional services firm 
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-state HR compliance is required; knowledge of regulations in New York, California, Washington, and Colorado is a strong plus. 
  • Experience with Paylocity and Deltek® VantagePoint  is a plus 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft® Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) 
  • Open to collaborating with team members on assignments and having work reviewed and quality-checked to ensure it adheres to Integral’s standards 
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, excellent organization and attention to detail, and solid analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality 
  • Equally at ease working independently and as part of a team 
  • Flexibility to work both in office and remotely 
  • Ability to travel as required 

Salary Range: $31.25 to $36.00/hour 

An employee’s total compensation package includes annual salary, company-subsidized (employee and family) medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) participation with a company match of 1% to 4% of annual compensation, company-paid life and short- and long-term disability insurance, annual paid sick leave (10 days), paid vacation (10 days), paid holidays (9 days), and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance. Paid time off will be prorated to reflect part-time scheduled hours, if applicable.
