Quality Engineer - East Cleveland, OH area
We are seeking an experience Quality Manufacturing Engineering professional to join our Quality team in the East Cleveland area, in a role where you work to drive manufacturing/quality assurance by performing the following as senior engineer the following:
- Work to Lead quality system development, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Perform data-driven audits and root cause analysis to resolve yield and rework issues
- Ensure product compliance through contract reviews, NDT coordination, and process oversight
- Manage non-conformance investigations and corrective/preventive actions
- Support customer communication, external audits, and documentation packages
- Analyze process capability using statistical tools (SPC, DOE, Six Sigma)
- Collaborate cross-functionally to meet production and quality goals
- Collaborate with teams to improve manufacturing processes and quality systems for industrial and aerospace casting.
- Analyze and audit data to ensure products meet internal and external specifications.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement solutions to improve yield, reduce rework, and enhance product quality.
- Drive resolution of cross-functional issues through structured problem-solving methods (e.g., PDCA, Six Sigma).
Qualified Engineers will bring the following to the role:
- Bachelor's in Engineering or 7-10 years relevant Engineering, Quality and process/manufacturing improvement experience.
- Strong Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement understanding, ability to identify opportunities for quality/product improvements, etc.
- Strong PPAP/CAPA experience, working with customers, on non conforming materials/products.
- Proficient in quality systems, statistical analysis, and problem-solving methodologies
- HIGHLY DESIRED CERTIFICATION: ASQ CQA or CQE certifications preferred, but not a MUST HAVE.
- Strong understanding of GD&T, FMEA, PPAP, and control plans.
- Excellent communication and technical documentation skills, and an ability to work in a collaborative setting, interfacing with engineers/team members of all disciplines.
