MicrobiologistResponsibilities:
- Create SOP for microbiological validation and development of new procedures
- Generate IQ, PQ, and OQ for new procedures
- Conduct microbiological testing on samples on manufactured products.
- Isolate, culture, and identify microorganisms using standard microbiological techniques.
- Analyze and interpret test results; prepare technical reports and present findings.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and ensure proper laboratory protocols are followed.
- Perform environmental monitoring and sterility testing as needed.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, EPA, ISO, GMP/GLP).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, QA/QC, and production.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, observations, and data.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of lab processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related field required.
- Master’s degree or Ph.D. is a plus (especially for research-focused roles)
- 1–3 years of experience in a laboratory setting preferred.
- Experience in [industry-specific microbiology, e.g., clinical, pharmaceutical, food safety] is a plus.
Salary: $25/hr
