Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contracted Occupational Therapist is needed to support a K-12 school setting located in Manassas, VA. This role involves providing therapeutic services to students to help improve their functional abilities and support their educational goals within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and develop individualized therapy plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and other related areas.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other school personnel to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and provide recommendations to enhance student success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license with experience in pediatric, school-based therapy.
- Strong understanding of K-12 educational environments and individual education plans (IEPs).
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff.
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques appropriate for school-aged children.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage caseload efficiently.
