Job Title: Blancher / Grinder Operator

Location: Countryside, IL
Pay: Up to $26.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Blancher / Grinder Operator to join our team in Countryside, IL. This role is responsible for setting up and operating grinding machines to produce high-precision parts according to print tolerances and customer specifications. If you have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience working with grinding equipment - we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Blanchard and other grinding machines to grind parts to precise specifications.
• Correct uneven surfaces and perform blanching operations on a variety of metal components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine grinding requirements.
• Inspect and measure parts during and after grinding operations using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in accordance with company safety protocols.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily production goals and improve operational processes.
• Ensure all work is completed to established quality standards and within required timelines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating grinding machines required (Blanchard grinder experience highly preferred).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to read and accurately interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Comfortable working in a high-noise, industrial environment with exposure to dust.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
• Good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Work Environment:

• Industrial manufacturing setting
• Exposure to high noise levels, dust, and moving machinery
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
