Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Part-Time
Every Other Friday & Saturday + Holidays | 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Pay: $24.64/hour + $2.50 Shift Differential (Evenings, Overnights, and Holidays)
The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work every other Friday and Saturday and holidays from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM at the Regional Crisis Stabilization Center located in the new BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center. This position pays $24.64 per hour plus a $2.50 shift differential for evenings, overnights, and holidays. The LPN will provide nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, mental health diagnoses, or those experiencing a mental health crisis. Responsibilities include assisting the staff psychiatrist with the prescription, administration, and monitoring of medications, conducting client assessments, delivering medical-based treatment services, and providing crisis intervention and supportive counseling. Requirements
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Virginia State Board of Nursing and one year of experience in the administration of medication or in a substance abuse treatment, psychiatric setting, or long-term care facility, including the dispensing of narcotic medication.
The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
