What you bring:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or behavior technician (BT/Para), particularly within schools
- Familiarity working with children on the autism spectrum or in special education settings
- Ability to implement instructional and behavioral support strategies directed by certified classroom staff
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Adaptability, reliability, and a commitment to student success
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Your role will include:
- Assisting lead teachers and therapists with daily classroom activities
- Providing individualized and small-group support to students with ASD
- Supporting students’ academic, behavioral, and social–emotional goals
- Maintaining a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitoring and documenting student progress under supervision
- Fostering respectful and positive relationships with students and staff
