The Job: We are seeking enthusiastic instructors who specialize in tutoring math and language arts at the elementary and middle school levels. Comfort with classes like Pre- Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and/or Calculus are a bonus. Spanish language skills are a bonus and may provide additional tutoring opportunities, but they are not required for this role.
Core competencies with teaching the subject to children aged 5 to 14 are the priority.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Coaching and guiding students to meet their academic goals

Tutoring multiple subjects effectively

Strengthening students’ study habits and identifying how each student learns best

Motivating students who need that extra oomph

Working with up to three students at a time

Being engaging, nimble, and professional

Keeping detailed records of tutoring sessions

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a high school or college degree program

Reliable transportation

Ability to work SOME of the following: Monday through Thursday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Saturday from 10 am to 1:00 pm
