A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 25/26 school year at an elementary school setting in San Jose, CA. This contract role is onsite and involves managing a comprehensive caseload of 40-50 students, providing essential speech and language support services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-aged students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation and compliance with school policies and state regulations
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders
- Ability to manage a caseload of 40-50 students effectively
- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
