PrairieTech is a Wisconsin-based landscaping company specializing in native plant design, prairie restoration, and ecological landscaping. We transform traditional yards into biodiverse, low-maintenance landscapes that support pollinators, wildlife, and healthier soil systems.
We are hiring a Landscaping Team Member to assist with field labor during our busy spring, summer, and fall seasons.
This is a hands-on outdoor position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, working in nature, and being part of meaningful ecological projects.
Responsibilities
- Planting native grasses, wildflowers, shrubs, and trees
- Site preparation (sod removal, grading, soil prep, mulching)
- Assisting with prairie seeding and restoration projects
- Weeding and maintaining installed landscapes
- Operating landscaping tools and equipment (training provided)
- Loading/unloading materials and general job site labor
Qualifications
- Comfortable performing physical labor outdoors in varying weather
- Ability to lift 80+ lbs
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to follow direction and work as part of a team
Preferred (Not Required)
- Landscaping or horticulture experience
- Knowledge of Wisconsin native plants
- Experience with basic landscaping equipment
- Interest in ecology, conservation, or sustainable land management
