Preschool Teacher (Early Childhood Education)
Location: The Learning Experience - Columbus Circle, New York, NY
Pay: $21-$25 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

Preschool Teacher

The Learning Experience - Columbus Circle is seeking an experienced Preschool Teacher to inspire young learners through engaging classroom experiences that support kindergarten readiness, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

This role focuses on implementing a high-quality early childhood curriculum while fostering language development, social-emotional growth, problem-solving skills, and school readiness in a nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a preschool classroom and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum
  
  
• Create engaging lessons that support early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional development
  
  
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  
  
• Monitor and document children's developmental progress
  
  
• Support classroom routines, transitions, and behavior guidance strategies
  
  
• Partner with families through regular communication and progress updates
  
  
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
  
  
• Follow New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or higher required
  
  
• Minimum of 90 college credits in Early Childhood Education required
  
  
• Prior preschool teaching experience preferred
  
  
• Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
  
  
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  
  
• Passion for helping young children learn, grow, and succeed
  
  
• Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
