KeyPoint’s Growth & Development Specialist works with front-line employees to enhance technical knowledge and employee performance. The Growth & Development Specialist is responsible for upholding our mission and values, conducting training courses, evaluating employee knowledge retention, and working with branch managers and employees to ensure the employees continue to progress through all phases of their career with KeyPoint.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain course content and training materials, ensuring timely updates, revisions, and enhancements.
Preparing for all Training courses by printing materials, verifying system access, and setting up classroom.
Deliver all technical training programs to staff. Provides frontline staff with training including (but not limited to) New Employee Orientation, Teller Training, New Accounts Training, New Advances Accounts Training, Lending Training, IRA/HSA Training, Service and Sales Training.
Acts as a backup to the Sr. Growth & Development Specialist on other training programs offered to frontline staff.
Conduct Wednesday Webinars which include new program launches, refreshers, and training support for the retail operations staff.
Completing Training Observation Forms for each employee after each training. These will include how the employee performed during class, areas of strength, areas of opportunities, and suggested areas of coaching.
Work with the Training Department to evaluate the training materials and make suggestions for improving the course, documentation, job aids, and activities.
Conduct after-training observation follow up with trainees to ensure knowledge transfer. Based on the outcome of the FSR evaluations, the Growth & Development Specialist makes recommendations for remedial training, refreshers or review of job aids. Conducting observations may include travel to the branches (with the exception of Goleta).
Track retail operations team progress during onboarding lifecycle and as part of the Front Line Career Paths program (currently being built with the Member Engagement team).
Stay abreast of procedure and policy changes to ensure classes are up to date.
Administer the BVS Learning Management System. Including creating ILT classes for enrollment, tracking employee training, create assignments for courses, and tracking completion of online courses.
The Growth & Development Specialist is responsible for attending Training Department Meetings to regularly review upcoming projects, review recently submitted surveys and observations, review existing courses, and learn new courses and training materials.
Ensure employees have access to training materials for reference.
Takes responsibility for individual career development. Continually seek opportunities to learn new skills.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
Must maintain a good rapport with Retail Operations Team.

Physical Requirements: (Including lifting, sitting, walking, bending, reaching and squatting % of time in each function):
Indoor office environment. Standing 40%, walking 30%, and sitting 30%. Lifting up to 30 pounds, up to 3 hours per month. Some carrying, bending, reaching, kneeling/squatting involved. Frequent use of stairs. Must be capable of working standard work shift at the corporate office. Ability to travel as required by company to attend seminars, meeting with vendors, and training at other KeyPoint CU locations, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong knowledge of OSI/DNA required. Must possess effective oral and written communication skills and have strong presentation and motivational skills. Must be patient and flexible with learners and Subject Matter Experts. Be familiar with training techniques in a Sales/Service environment. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. A basic knowledge of Adult Learning Theory is desirable. Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills.
