Summary:


Rooftops Silicone Distributors Inc. is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee the successful execution of various projects. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing project timelines, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating resources, and fostering positive relationships with team members and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and management abilities, along with a proven track record of project management expertise.


Duties and Tasks:


  • Collaborate closely with crew leads to understand project requirements, address their needs, and ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Perform rigorous equipment inspections and maintain accurate tracking records for Rooftops' equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with safety standards.

  • Set clear productivity goals and deadlines, communicate expectations effectively to the project team, and drive successful project completion.

  • Conduct regular performance reviews for team members, providing constructive feedback and identifying opportunities for development.

  • Lead incident investigations and meticulously prepare incident reports when required, ensuring a proactive approach to safety and risk management.

  • Maintain comprehensive daily project documentation and prepare weekly project reports to monitor progress, address challenges, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate and facilitate manufacturer inspections to uphold quality standards and ensure compliance with specifications.

  • Conduct thorough project evaluations, analyzing outcomes, capturing lessons learned, and implementing improvements for future projects.

  • Collaborate with the maintenance team, coordinate equipment repairs, minimize downtime, and maintain operational efficiency.

  • Enforce on-site safety requirements, create a safety awareness culture, and ensure all team members' well-being.

  • Oversee the accurate submission and uploading of project-related documents, maintaining meticulous records for future reference.

  • Develop efficient means and methods for project execution, continuously assessing productivity and making adjustments as necessary.

  • Perform comprehensive inspections of work in progress and existing conditions, upholding Rooftops' commitment to quality craftsmanship.

  • Manage material, tool, and equipment inventories, optimizing resources to support project demands effectively.

  • Coordinate and schedule monthly maintenance for Rooftops' vehicles, ensuring they remain operational and safe.

  • Demonstrate hands-on capability by actively participating in on-site work as needed, leading by example, and promoting a collaborative environment.

  • Collaborate with General Contractors (GC) and third-party inspectors, ensuring smooth coordination and adherence to project requirements.

  • Contribute to the development and management of project schedules, closely monitoring progress and taking corrective actions when necessary.

  • Track and manage records related to productivity, inspections, punch lists, warranties, and other essential project documentation.

  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly expense reports, maintaining transparency and accountability in project-related costs.

  • Develop and implement an innovative expense tracking program, enhancing visibility into the financial aspects of the projects.

  • Attend internal and project meetings, providing valuable updates and insights and contributing to effective decision-making.

  • Safely transport materials to and from project sites, ensuring their timely availability for uninterrupted work progress.

  • Utilize the metal shop to fabricate materials, including flashings, connections, brackets, etc., as needed.

  • Inspect and inventory incoming material orders, verifying their quality and compliance with specifications.

  • Promptly address and resolve on-site issues, demonstrating quick problem-solving skills and ensuring minimal disruptions.

  • Perform on-site fabrication of materials, such as panels and gutters, adapting to project requirements.

  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with clients, General Contractors, and subcontractors, promoting collaboration and open communication.

  • Display proficiency as an equipment operator when needed, ensuring safe and efficient use of machinery.

  • Provide assistance on "small job" projects as required, contributing to their successful completion and overall team success.

  • Acquire proficiency in Estimating Software to support accurate and informed project cost estimations.

  • Familiarize yourself with Buildertrend software, leveraging its capabilities to enhance project management and communication.


Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Leadership Support: Provide leadership and support to the project management team by assisting in daily project documentation and maintaining project schedules.

  • Coordination: Coordinate with project team members to ensure productivity goals are met and assist with project planning, including determining appropriate materials, labor, and equipment needed.

  • Cost Management: Assist with job costing, tracking project expenses, and budget to ensure cost-effectiveness, attending necessary internal and project meetings to provide updates on project progress.

  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain relations with clients, general contractors (GC), and subcontractors to facilitate smooth project execution.

  • Reporting: Create and submit monthly expense reports if required, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of project finances.

Safety Management:

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all on-site safety requirements, relevant regulations, and company policies, performing inspections to identify potential hazards.

  • Material Inspections: Inspect and inventory arriving material orders to ensure accuracy and quality, coordinating manufacturer inspections to validate performance.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Conduct rooftop equipment inspections, tracking maintenance and repairs to ensure safety and functionality.

Supervision:

  • Team Management: Supervise and guide a team of workers, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide feedback to ensure adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.

  • Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, provide training or coaching as needed, and foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.

Documentation and Records Management:

  • Document Control: Implement and manage document control procedures for the project, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of project documents.

  • Project Management Software: Utilize project management software to track and manage project documentation, schedules, and communication.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including reports and records of productivity, inspections, warranties, and other project-related documents.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Logistics: Transport materials as necessary, ensuring their safe and timely delivery to project sites.

  • Hands-on Support: Assist in performing work tasks when needed to contribute to project progress and efficiency.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve project-related issues and maintain effective communication.

  • Flexibility: Perform other duties as assigned by project management to support project success.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in construction, project management, engineering, or a relevant field, as well as equivalent work experience.

  • 5-10 years or more of proven experience in project management, preferably in Roofing/Construction.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate project teams.

  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and effective communication among diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficient in using project management software and tools for documentation, scheduling, and reporting.

  • Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and implement strategic solutions.

  • Hands-on experience with equipment operation and maintenance.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.

  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and regulations in Roofing/Construction.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, GCs, subcontractors, and team members.
