Job Scope: To provide on-site excavation leadership and execution of daily responsibilities. Including but not limited to completing assigned tasks timely.
Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct Daily “Work Huddles” each morning with Project Manager, excavator labor and subcontractor personnel to coordinate and communicate work expectations for the day.
- Lay out footing off scheduled stake out.
- Excavate, form, and pour building footings on single family detached, single family attached and multifamily apartments.
- Install footer drain tile and stone along foundation to manufactures specifications. foundation back fill and installation of footer drains
- Back fill foundations and tamp accordingly.
- Install and prep stone beneath slab to grade to allow for concrete.
- Excavate all trenches for utilities exterior and interior installed by but not limited to subcontractors in a safe and OSHA approved manor. This will include water, sewer, electric, gas, etc.
- Excavate and install the roof drain /downspout piping.
- Construct and install septic systems
- Construct and install drywells, rain gardens, and any subterranean water storage systems.
- Rough grade all lots to meat plus or minus 2” of finished grade.
- Final grade and topsoil lots providing the proper water run off per the approved grades.
- Install and compact all subgrade for driveway installation.
- Provide support for all aspects of horizontal and vertical construction.
- Work directly with site Project Manager to manage the coordination of site schedule, inspections, and materials movement.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Communicate using the following tools: telephone, fax machine, written logs, email, and computer.
- Strong working ability to read and interpret Blueprints.
- Monitoring jobsite general health and safety.
Other Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- CDL license preferred.
- Must be an insured motorist.
- Must possess ASI-56 Certification.
- Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned.
Computer and Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add and subtract numbers.
- Ability to multiple and divide numbers.
