Valens is seeking a mission-driven Senior Analyst to support teams in the national security space, with a strong focus on tradecraft innovation. As a key contributor, the Senior Analyst will engage with both public and private sector clients, providing actionable and insightful deliverables on a range of complex issues. They will apply advanced analytical methods and leverage subject-matter expertise to create high-quality products that address client needs with minimal oversight. The Senior Analyst will also be responsible for driving innovative solutions to analytic challenges, introducing cutting-edge techniques, and improving existing processes. In this role, they will collaborate with leadership to ensure project success while balancing the risks and rewards associated with team dynamics, client expectations, and financial objectives. Their contributions will be instrumental in enhancing both the quality of analysis and the operational impact of client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and institutionalize analytic standards and core competency goals and objectives based on strategic guidance from department and company leadership
  • Develop and maintain internal trainings on core competencies including structured analytic techniques, OSINT techniques, critical thinking, analytic writing, etc.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of analytic resources and institutional knowledge
  • Find and assess key new tools and capabilities to recommend to leadership
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on the development and application of standards and core competencies at the project level
  • Develop forums for feedback and evaluation
  • Be available for ad hoc mentorship and support to analysts on analytical tradecraft
  • Meet billable target of 90%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Bachelors degree +4 years of work experience in the national security field
  • Proven track record of consistently providing exceptional analytic work to clients
  • Successful completion of Project Lead responsibilities on more than one project
  • Demonstrated strong review skills and ability to provide feedback to analysts
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in collaborative work processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work with little to no supervision
  • Demonstrated interest in mentor-mentee relationships

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working as an intelligence analyst within the U.S. government, special operations, or supporting U.S. government contracts
  • Experience supporting strategic level, all source predictive intelligence
  • Experienceapplyingnew technologiesto analytical and administrative workflow
  • Track record of contributing to the analytical toolkit and analyst huddle
  • Completion of research and analysis trainings recommended by Valens Global
  • Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance
