Nurse Supervisor
Compensation: $150k per year
Job Type: Full-time, Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
A major New York City health system is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead facility-wide nursing operations, education, strategy, and quality initiatives. tis leader will oversee nursing performance, implement standardized best practices, and ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across the organization. Specifically focused on the Maternal-Child Health (MCH) service line, this role serves as a critical link between executive strategy and clinical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facility-wide nursing operations and strategy within the Maternal-Child Health (MCH) service line, ensuring alignment with health system goals.
- Oversee nursing performance and clinical outcomes, reporting directly to the CEO and Chief Nursing Executive.
- Implement standardized best practices and evidence-based protocols to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Drive quality improvement and safety initiatives specifically targeting maternal and neonatal health outcomes.
- Manage daily departmental operations, including staffing, resource allocation, and budget oversight.
- Serve as a clinical mentor and educator, fostering professional development and residency programs for nursing staff.
- Ensure continuous regulatory compliance and survey readiness for all state and federal healthcare agencies.
- Act as a key liaison between frontline clinical staff and executive leadership to facilitate transparent communication and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN license
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) with five (5) years of nursing experience, including three (3) years in a supervisory or teaching role; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) with six (6) years of nursing experience, including four (4) years in a supervisory or teaching role
- Prior leadership experience in Maternal-Child Health (MCH) strongly preferred
