We are seeking a Locum Obstetrician/Gynecologist to begin as soon as possible for an ongoing position near Westwood Hills, NC.
Job Responsibilities
- Preferred work schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off.
- Call type: Beeper system.
- Practice environment: Outpatient settings.
- Specialty skills required include:
- Management of low-risk pregnancies.
- Level I/Screening (viability) and Level II/Targeted (anatomic) Amniocentesis.
- Routine vaginal deliveries and low forceps deliveries.
- Decision-making for cesarean sections and handling complicated deliveries.
- Experience with breech presentations and multiple births.
- Repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations.
- Minor gynecological procedures such as IUD placements, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, and LEEP.
- Surgical gynecology, including open and laparoscopic procedures for tubal ligation, operative management of ectopic pregnancies, ovary removal, and cystectomy.
- Average number of deliveries per year: approximately 360.
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP.
- Must hold a valid medical license in North Carolina.
- Electronic Medical Records system: Athena.
- Credentialing process duration: 90 days.
- Referral bonus: $2000 for any referral who completes 160 hours of work.
- Competitive compensation with additional premiums for weeknight call and weekend call, which equates to 6 regular hours per day when called in.
