This role is for a Registered Nurse (RN) who will work weekend shifts in a surgical step-down unit, delivering specialized care to patients while collaborating with various departments. Candidates must possess a valid nursing license and keep up with essential certifications, including Basic Life Support, and may need advanced certifications depending on unit specifications. Utilizing our Nursing Conceptual Framework and the nursing process, you will deliver exceptional patient care. You will be accountable for the care provided to your assigned patients and will coordinate with other departments to ensure comprehensive patient management. Upholding patient rights and maintaining confidentiality of patient information is essential.
Position Details:
Weekend Option RN
Shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Weekend Differential: $20.00/hr
Education: Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
Licensure: It is the responsibility of the RN to secure and maintain a current nursing license in the state of employment or a compact license, adhering to all state board of nursing regulations.
Experience:
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or completion of the course within 30 days of hire.
- Additional certifications may be required based on the specific unit or position, or must be obtained within a designated timeframe:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurse)
- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support)
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
- Other unit-specific certifications as necessary
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to regularly push, pull, or lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged standing and walking are required throughout each shift.
- Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as part of job duties.
