About the Role
Unity Health Care is seeking a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) to join our integrated primary care team. Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Behavioral Health, the BHC provides brief, consultation-based behavioral health services to patients experiencing mild to moderate conditions such as depression, anxiety, and health behavior challenges.
This role focuses on short-term, functional improvement through culturally competent, patient-centered care within a collaborative medical setting.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct brief psychosocial assessments and targeted evaluations

Provide behavioral health consultations to primary care providers

Deliver short-term interventions, psychoeducation, and preventive care

Document care timely and accurately in the medical record

Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams

Participate in quality improvement and population health initiatives
Qualifications

Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field

Licensed or license-eligible in Washington, DC

Experience in integrated or primary care settings preferred
