About the Company



We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Export Compliance Officer to join our team. This full-time role focuses on ensuring compliance with import and export regulations, including ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations). The successful candidate will oversee compliance processes, manage export licenses, and ensure accurate documentation for shipments.

Every shipment you review could influence national security, making your work feel like a real-world thriller where attention to detail literally shapes international relations. In a fast-paced environment, no two days are the same. From processing urgent exports to troubleshooting compliance risks, you'll solve complex puzzles under tight deadlines—think of it as a strategic game of regulatory chess, where your decisions keep supply chains humming across borders. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll shape company-wide processes, from license management to risk mitigation. It's not just compliance; it's enabling innovation and growth, turning potential roadblocks into seamless global opportunities. With evolving regulations and tools like the ACE system, you'll stay at the forefront of trade law. Plus, collaborating with diverse teams hones your communication skills while building a network that spans industries and countries.



Responsibilities



  • Oversee compliance processes and manage export licenses.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for shipments.
  • Review shipments to safeguard sensitive technologies.
  • Process urgent exports and troubleshoot compliance risks.
  • Shape company-wide processes related to compliance.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to enhance communication skills.



Qualifications



  • At least 2 years of experience working with ITAR and EAR-regulated goods.
  • A solid understanding of ITAR, EAR, and other import/export regulations.
  • A keen eye for detail to catch any compliance hiccups.
  • The ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations or the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system is a plus.



Required Skills



  • Experience with ITAR and EAR regulations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



Preferred Skills



  • Familiarity with compliance software.
  • Experience with U.S. Customs regulations.
  • Knowledge of the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system.



Pay range and compensation package



85,000 and up
