Job Title: Certified Respiratory Therapist | Auto Offer
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 13 Weeks (Travel Contract)
Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) – ECMO Specialist to provide advanced respiratory care in a high-acuity hospital setting. This role focuses on managing ECMO systems and delivering critical care support to adult and geriatric patients.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist (RRT) experience
- Minimum 1 year of ECMO Specialist experience (required)
- First-time travelers accepted (with ECMO experience)
- Must reside 100+ miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Pending state license accepted (must be active by start date)
Required Certifications
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Active State Respiratory Therapy License
Core Skills & Experience
Critical Care & ECMO
- VV ECMO (required)
- Adult critical care experience
- Protocol-driven ECMO management
Airway Management
- Intubation and extubation assistance
- Endotracheal tube (ETT) care
- Tracheostomy care and suctioning
- Oral and nasal airway placement
Ventilator Management
- BiPAP / CPAP
- SIMV ventilation
- Mechanical ventilation weaning
- Troubleshooting ventilator alarms
- Patient transport (intra/inter-facility)
Respiratory Treatments
- High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC)
- Oxygen therapy (mask, tanks, T-piece, trach collar)
- Aerosol therapy (mask and trach setups)
Medication Administration
- Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent
- Flovent, Pulmicort, inhaled steroids
- Nitric Oxide (INo), inhaled Flolan
- Mucomyst, Tobramycin, Xopenex
- Racemic epinephrine
Diagnostics & Procedures
- Arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and interpretation
- Arterial punctures
- Bronchoscopy support
- Spirometry (preferred)
Patient Population & Conditions
- Adult and geriatric patients
- ARDS, Pneumonia, COVID-19
- Aspiration cases
- Fresh tracheostomy patients
