Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Occupational therapy support is needed for an elementary school setting serving a diverse student population, including children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) requiring intensive support.

Location: Claremont, NH (primary site), with weekly visits to additional elementary and middle school locations within the district.

Duration: January 5, 2026 June 12, 2026 (tentative last day)
Schedule: Up to 37.5 hours per week; part-time options available (four days/30 hours or three days/22.5 hours), with caseload adjustments based on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide occupational therapy services to approximately 22 students receiving direct support and consultative services to 10 additional students.
  • Deliver interventions primarily in a safe-contained classroom setting serving students with level 3 ASD supports.
  • Support students in general education settings, including grades K5.
  • Travel weekly to two additional sitesDisnard Elementary and Claremont Middle Schoolto serve students in self-contained and general education placements.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to create individualized treatment plans.
  • Document progress and maintain all required records compliant with state and district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) meeting all state regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations, especially children with ASD and special needs, preferred.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple school settings and coordinate services accordingly.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork.
