Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Paraprofessional license or Teaching Assistant certification (required)
- Prior experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational setting
- Ability to communicate positively and collaborate with students, teachers, and staff
- Flexible approach to working with diverse learning needs and adapting to classroom dynamics
- Dependable, compassionate, and patient demeanor
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as a 1:1 aide supporting the academic and social development of an assigned student, or serve as a classroom aide assisting the teacher with varied classroom activities
- Assist with daily lessons, small group work, educational activities, and individualized support
- Encourage inclusion and participation, helping create a welcoming atmosphere for all students
- Monitor student progress and behavior, offering feedback to the classroom teacher
- Support classroom routines, maintain organization, and promote a safe learning space
