A leading global venture capital firm with decades of experience and billions under management is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Senior Fund Operations and Data Analyst to join its Venture Capital Operations team. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and data, ensuring that platforms and processes scale alongside the firm’s growth. The ideal candidate will have a background in finance and accounting, coupled with proven experience in data systems, platform implementation, and workflow automation.
This position is critical to ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of the firm’s financial and operational infrastructure while delivering data-driven insights for investment and business decision-making. The role will work closely with and report to the Director of Operations and Data.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing management of financial and operational applications, including CRM, portfolio management, and reporting platforms.
- Partner with finance, accounting, operations, and investment teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines and integrations across multiple systems to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that deliver actionable insights to stakeholders across the firm.
- Identify and drive process optimization through automation of recurring workflows in finance and operations.
- Execute data migrations and platform upgrades as the firm expands.
- Ensure all processes and controls adhere to compliance, governance, and risk management best practices.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, financial applications, and data analytics practices to continuously improve the firm’s operational capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, PMP) are a plus.
- 4+ years of progressive experience across finance, operations, and/or technology roles; experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or high-growth technology environments preferred.
- Experience in financial systems implementation and administration preferred.
- Strong knowledge of databases, data structures, APIs, and reporting/data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Hands-on experience with SQL, workflow automation, and data migration projects.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
