Location: Our Healthcare Facility, St. Louis
Schedule: PRN | Flexible Hours
Become a part of our dedicated team and contribute positively to the lives of women, children, and families. We are looking for a caring and proficient RN to take on the role of Educator in our Mother Baby Unit.
Position Overview:
Your Responsibilities
- Educate women, children, and families on various subjects, including:
- Heart health
- Childbirth and newborn care
- CPR and First Aid
- Babysitting and home safety
- Implement approved curriculum to conduct engaging and informative classes.
- Guide new educators and support departmental operations.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives, facility tours, and special events.
- Foster a safe and respectful atmosphere for all participants.
Qualifications
- Education: Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate’s, Diploma, or BSN).
- Licensure: Valid RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
- Certifications:
- American Heart Association certification is mandatory for teaching CPR and First Aid.
- Lamaze International certification is preferred.
- Experience: Prior teaching experience is advantageous.
- Skills: Strong communication and time management abilities; capacity to engage diverse audiences effectively.
Additional Duties
- Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and infection control protocols.
- Exhibit adaptability and problem-solving skills in class delivery and technology usage.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts and departmental development.
