Department: Support ServicesHours: Monday - Friday 11 am - 3 pmCompensation: $20.30/hr.
A wellestablished nonprofit organization in Portland is seeking a reliable, proactive, and handson Mailroom Clerk to join its Support Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their workday, takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly, and thrives in a collaborative, serviceoriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Tasks
- Sort and distribute incoming mail throughout the building
- Prepare and post outgoing mail; deliver to lobby for pickup
- Check the front desk for package deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness of the mailroom and copier room
- Restock commonly used supplies in the mailroom and lunchroom
- Perform walkthroughs of the warehouse; break down boxes and manage waste
- Assist staff with copiers, printers, fax machines, and other mailroom equipment
- Light facilities support, including picking up parking lot litter (equipment provided)
AsNeeded Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot equipment and coordinate repair calls
- Replenish toner and ink buildingwide; submit supply needs to Finance
- Assist in setting up and taking down conference rooms for events
- Help departments load and unload vehicles
- Basic lightmaintenance tasks: replacing bulbs, lubricating door locks
- Meet contractors when needed and support Facilities Manager
- Organize incoming deliveries in the garage/warehouse
- Adjust building heating/cooling master controller when requested
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift boxes and perform light physical tasks (25lbs)
- Comfortable with basic equipment troubleshooting
- Friendly, dependable, and serviceoriented
