Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Lubbock, Texas. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute to a stable and growing organization within the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will excel in accounting practices, multi-entity financial management, and be open to handling office management tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Oversee revenue reporting and deposits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across multiple entities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the integrity of financial records.
• Utilize software such as Integra and QuickBooks for accounting tasks, with training provided as needed.
• Handle office management duties, including supply management and other administrative functions.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and provide accurate reporting to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with team members in a small office environment, adapting to various responsibilities as needed.
• Support financial decision-making through detailed analysis and reporting.
• Assist with multi-entity accounting processes for approximately 60 entities.
• Work closely with the outgoing accountant for a seamless transition and training.• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a strong focus on detail.
• Proficiency in general accounting practices, including month-end close and reconciliations.
• Degree in accounting or related field preferred, but not required.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks; experience with Integra is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Knowledge of oil and gas accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, including administrative and office tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a small, collaborative office environment.
