Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, the Marketing and Business Development (MBD) Coordinator supports a wide range of initiatives that enhance the firm’s visibility, strengthen client relationships, and advance the firm’s strategic growth objectives. Key responsibilities include supporting marketing projects and attorney requests; coordinating firm photography and related visual assets; assisting with branded merchandise and client gifting initiatives; assisting with firm events; and providing operational support across the marketing and business development team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support marketing and business development initiatives by assisting with marketing projects, attorney requests, and departmental priorities.

  • Respond to internal requests for marketing and business development support, providing timely and reliable assistance on a variety of projects.

  • Coordinate firm photography across offices and maintain the firm’s centralized image library for marketing and business development use.

  • Coordinate branded merchandise and client gifting requests, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with the firm’s brand standards.

  • Support the firm’s recognition strategy by coordinating legal directory and award submissions, including research, drafting, and deadline management.

  • Assist with departmental contract processing and budgeting and expense tracking, including processing invoices, reconciling expenses, and maintaining related documentation.

  • Maintain departmental tracking tools and internal resources, including attorney information and related data that support marketing and business development efforts.

  • Provide coordination and logistical support for firm events, including conferences, sponsorships, and webinars.

  • Assist with event preparation and provide on-site or virtual support for firm events as needed, which may occasionally occur outside standard business hours.

  • Other duties as assigned.


Education, Experience, and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, with a preference for a concentration in marketing, communications or business
  • At least two years of experience in professional services marketing, with legal marketing and business development experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Effective time management skills, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and manage multiple projects while prioritizing assignments
  • Ability to build rapport with attorneys, professional staff, and vendors
  • Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, and CRM systems preferred
  • Strong computer skills, including web-based research and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and various document management tools. Ability to learn and use new software quickly.
  • General knowledge of office equipment and tools
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently but within a team environment
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Position Details

This is a full-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt level position. The final rate of pay and title will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, with a targeted hiring range of $36.00-$47.00 per hour. The upper range reserved for highly qualified applicants. This position is currently available in our NY or DC office location and relocation is not provided for this role.
